Private Alakai Nui Catamaran Excursion
Overview
Enjoy an intimate VIP experience for up to six passengers onboard the spacious Alaka ‘i Nui (Great Leader), a 46-foot center console catamaran, designed for fully customized ocean experiences including offshore fishing, snorkelling, whale watching (winter season), exploring and more. The boat, which includes a restroom and other amenities, can cruise as far north as Kawaihae and as far south as Miloli‘i (based on time) to enjoy nearly every ocean activity available for your group’s enjoyment. Enhance the experience with optional add-on activities.
Itinerary
- Check in at the Ocean Activities Center and then venture miles from the Resort to explore the coast with our expert staff. Enjoy an extended range of exclusive adventures such as deep-sea fishing, snorkelling and open exploration of beaches with limited accessibility on our new 46-foot (14-metre) luxury catamaran.
- Cruise the Kona coastline, along the town of Kailua-Kona to Waikoloa and the Mauna Lani coastline.
- A snorkelling guide helps you navigate the world beneath the waves, where marine life such as eagle rays and green sea turtles roam freely. Snorkel and swim at two different locations like picturesque Makalawena and Kīholo Bay.
- Travel to nearby reefs, filled with coral-laden underwater caves and teeming with aquatic life.
- One of our most popular guided morning activities. Explore under the water effortlessly and view the marine life and reef up close.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch of a wrap or sandwich in the comfortable setting aboard Nui.
- After your escape on the Alakai Nui, return to the Resort for a relaxing afternoon poolside for lunch and refreshing cocktails.
