    All rooms and suites in the Resort will be extensively renovated with updated finishes and furnishings, while maintaining the authentic Hawaiian design of Hualalai. A new bungalow consisting of six oceanfront guest rooms including a suite with a private pool will be added to the existing guest room and suites, providing unobstructed views from its oceanfront location. Renovated accommodations are currently available and will continue to be completed through the end of September 2021.

    The most prestigious accommodation at the Resort, this majestic two-story villa is housed in a stand-alone bungalow set directly on the oceanfront. Enjoy an expansive living and dining space, an awe-inspiring outdoor lava-rock shower and a spacious lanai featuring a private spa and sweeping views of the Pacific, a perfect location to watch the seasonal migration of humpback whales.

    Exuding the comfort and ambience of a Hawaiian beach home, this versatile two-story villa offers a coveted, secluded location. Nestled among gardens at the edge of the picturesque Waiakauhi Pond, Makaloa Villa features luxurious furnishings and cultural artwork throughout the vast living space. An expansive lanai features a private pool, spa, hammock and lawn, ideal for a multigenerational `ohana to enjoy.

    Situated on a beachfront central location just steps from the relaxing waters of the Pacific, this expansive villa features ground-level accommodations with a second-level open living space and sun deck. A spacious indoor living and dining area lead to a furnished outdoor lanai boasting a private pool and spa. A luxurious daybed overlooks the pool, and a private firepit inspires evenings with cocktails to accompany a front-row view to spectacular Kona sunsets.

King’s Pond, Hualalai’s signature 1.8-million-gallon swimmable aquarium, has received a dramatic update with the addition of a new elevated swimming pool, lounge deck, and Marine Activity Center. Our Natural Resources team of on-site marine biologists provide interactive programming exclusively for Hualalai guests featuring the 4,000 diverse tropical fish living in King's Pond. Guests are invited to spend the day at this spectacular, reimagined pool, watching the fish and marine life, enjoying a gourmet lunch poolside overlooking the ocean, or participating in one of many entertaining and educational experiences.

Ka‘upulehu, where the Resort stands today, was an ancient Hawaiian fishing village where our ancestors were able to sustain life using our natural resources.
