The Fat Duck
Heston Blumenthal and The Fat Duck received their third Michelin Star in 2004. The food at The Fat Duck has come a long way since opening in August 1995. It began as a Bourgeois French restaurant, serving dishes such as Petit Sale with Lentils, Steak and chips, sauce Bordelaise, Rillettes of salmon and lemon tart. Their chefs are scientists and psychologists that are looking at food and the way that we eat from a different angle, the approach being more holistic and with new controlled experimentation, one that does not automatically take historic kitchen lore and tradition for granted. This unique restaurant offers private dining for 40 people and is located 48 minutes away.
The Anchor Inn
The Anchor Inn is passionate about retaining the heritage and traditions of the countryside and this is reflected throughout the inn from the fresh, seasonal menu to the exceptional sporting opportunities that can be arranged for guests. This charming countryside pub offers private dining for up to 70 people and is located approximately 21 minutes away.
