Wedding Bell Rhyme
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
An old English rhyme is but one of the many time-honoured traditions that see couples down the aisle to the post-vow kiss and the happily ever after. It’s also a custom that Four Seasons Hotel Denver honours, with a modern update.
Whether yours is a sizeable event held in the Grand Ballroom, or an intimate affair in the Aspen room, you’ll find your every “something” is covered in spectacular fashion. The magnificent backdrop of the Rocky Mountains—the youngest of which uplifted 65 million years ago—symbolizes the old. Representing the “new”: the newly built Resort itself.
It’s what you get to borrow that gives this tradition a twist. As part of our “Something Borrowed” promotion, brides who host their wedding ceremony or reception at the Four Seasons Hotel Denver have an opportunity to borrow any combination of necklace and earrings totalling a value of up to USD 10,000.00. Your choices include jewellery lines from Tacori, Jude Frances, Roberto Coin and Penny Preville—all provided by the award winning, and celebrity-favourite, Hyde Park Jewelers.
And last, “something blue”—brides will receive a personalised blue lace handkerchief, a lovely keepsake of their wedding day. Should you wish for a sixpence, our Concierge will gladly track one down for you. A little advanced notice please, as Denver’s coin shops tend not to stay open past 5:30.
