From the Annual ChocolateFest to grape stomping at GrapeFest, there is always something fun to do. 10. BBQ Madness
Everyone needs a little Texan southern comfort in their daily diet. Pecan Lodge, continuously voted as the best BBQ joint in town, offers finger-licking good smoked meats and comfort foods. If you’re a first-timer, you’ll want to try “The Hot Mess” which is a jumbo sea salt-crusted sweet potato with South Texas barbacoa, chipotle cream, cheese, butter and green onions. Yeehaw! Located about 20 minutes from the hotel, this hometown favorite is only open Wednesday – Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Come hungry and you’ll leave with a fully belly thinking “how’d they do that?”
