Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is offering this experience in partnership with Spearmex, the first luxury freediving and spearfishing academy in Mexico. This thrilling ocean experience – available from May to December – combines authentic local adventure with the freshest seafood in Riviera Nayarit. It introduces guests to the wonders of Punta Mita’s waters in a fun, engaging way and is sure to surprise and delight their senses.
Guests begin the half-day adventure with a boat ride out to Bahia de Banderas, the third largest bay in the Americas, known for its premier diving conditions. Breathtaking underwater views and colourful marine life greet guests below the sea, as they are guided through proper freediving and octopus fishing techniques by certified Spearmex diving coaches. Holding five world-records in fishing and diving, Spearmex is celebrated as the premier freediving institution in the Rivera Nayarit. Once guests secure their fresh catch, it will be transported back to the Resort and presented to the Chef, who will guide them through the preparation of several signature octopus dishes.
