Chef de Cuisine Arthur Vonderheyden
Growing up in Bordeaux, France, some of Chef Arthur’s fondest and earliest memories are of watching his father prepare a delicious vegetable soup at home. But he didn’t discover his love for cooking until after business school. After cutting his teeth at the Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Etoile in Paris, he went on to work in Istanbul before bringing his flare for French cooking to Amman.
“A good French dish – with a taste that will linger on for hours – demands creativity and a knack to play and experiment with ingredients.”
Executive Chef Saa’d Alfawadleh
Born and raised in Amman, Jordan, Saa’d fell in love with cooking at the age of 8, inspired by his father who was a chef in the Jordanian Army. He took his first culinary job in the hotel industry, later moved to Dubai and Abu Dhabi to expand his experience, and then settled in the United States, where he built a family. In New York, he helped a friend open a food truck and then joined Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii as a sous chef. The rest is history – he found his calling with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
“Cooking food is my passion and the love of my life.”
Executive Pastry Chef ANAS AL QUSAIRI
Anas Al Qusairi has been making life sweeter at Four Seasons Hotel Amman since 2008. Since 1993, he knew he wanted to be a chef, and he made his dream a reality. Anas makes a mean mohalabia, a traditional Middle Eastern milk pudding that is the perfect light dessert after a heavy meal. To balance his sweet side, his favourite condiment is hot sauce, and his guilty pleasure snack is pumpkin seeds. Naturally, his favourite cooking show is “Cake Boss.”
“Baking is fun, so when I bake, I love my surroundings to be bustling with energy. I prefer to work with music playing and in the company of lots of people.”
