Chumash Interpretive Center
The Chumash Interpretive Center is a natural-resource park full of remarkable treasures, art, artefacts and history. Located in a wilderness area, it offers acres of discovery, allowing you to learn about the air, earth, water and sun, and listen to the animals and birds. Inquire about various tours and walks.
Disneyland
World-famous Disneyland features dining, shopping, entertainment and more than 55 adventures and attractions in seven magical theme lands. Mickey Mouse’s theme park celebrates its 50th anniversary with the new Buzz Lightyear Blasters ride, “Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams” and a new fireworks extravaganza, “Remember ... Dreams Do Come True.”
Getty Villa
The Getty Villa in Malibu, reopened after years of renovation by Boston-based architects Rodolfo Machado and Jorge Silvetti, offers a sense of ancient history. Nestled in the hills of Pacific Palisades, the Getty Villa is modelled after a first-century Roman house, the Villa dei Papiri. With fountains, gardens and ancient Graeco-Roman artefacts, the Getty Villa serves as an educational and cultural centre dedicated to the study of ancient cultures and the preservation of the Villa's collection of antiquities.
Grauman's Chinese Theatre
Hollywood comes alive as visitors stroll the Walk of Fame, which commemorates celebrities whose names appear on bronze stars on the sidewalk, or compare footprints of the stars in the courtyard of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Knott's Berry Farm
One of America's favourite theme parks, this is where it all began, with Mrs. Knott's famous chicken restaurant and gift shop. The former berry farm is now 160 acres (65 hectares) of world-class rides, unique family shows and one-of-a-kind attractions. Experience GhostRider, the world's best wooden roller coaster, or Supreme Scream, which takes you 30 storeys up and then down in three seconds. Camp Snoopy is a short stroll away, where you can visit the beloved Peanuts gang. For unique dining and shopping, California MarketPlace is adjacent to the Theme Park.
Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Located in the heart of Los Angeles, over 1,200 animals from all over the world make up this zoological park and botanical gardens.
Universal Studios Hollywood
If you love movies, experience them with rides, shows and attractions that bring your favourite movies to life. Then, go deep behind the scenes where today’s hottest movies are being made, to see the sets and secrets revealed – so close you can hear the cameras rolling, and maybe catch a glimpse of a star.
Museums
California Science Center
The California Science Center is a family destination, offering hands-on exhibits that show how science relates to everyday life. Exhibit galleries cover life sciences, human innovation, aerospace and more. The IMAX theatre shows large-format films on a screen seven storeys high. Admission to permanent exhibits is free.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art
The museum has more than 100,000 exhibits, from classic antiquities to pieces by Southern Californian artists. Opened since 1965, their collections have included Asian art, photography, classical sculpture, costumes and textiles, contemporary works and Latin American art.
Nethercutt Museum
The Nethercutt Museum displays 100 of the world’s greatest antique, classic and special interest automobiles, including various Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance winners. The museum’s collection includes Ferrari, Packard, Pierce Arrow, Rolls Royce and many other luxury makes. The magnificent display of classic cars showcases developments and innovations in automotive design and engineering.
Ronald W. Reagan Presidential Library and Museum
The Ronald W. Reagan Presidential Library and Museum collects, preserves and exhibits historical materials that tell the story of the presidency of Ronald W. Reagan. The White House materials of the President, Mrs. Reagan and their staff form the core of the library's resources, which also include an exact replica of the Oval Office, a graffitied section of the Berlin Wall, movie posters and jelly bean jars. The Library Museum and Bookstore also features American history exhibits. The museum occupies 153,000 square feet (14,214 square metres) covering 100 acres (40 hectares). The library's holdings include more than 50 million pages of documents, 1.5 million photographs and 75,000 gifts. The Air Force One utilised during the Reagan years – also known as the flying White House – is also displayed here.
The Getty Center Los Angeles
The Getty Center caught the world's attention when it opened in 1997. Richard Meier's architecture is stunning, and the hilltop site allows breathtaking city vistas. Permanently on exhibit are pre-20th-century European paintings, sculpture and decorative arts, and 19th- and 20th-century American and European photographs. Robert Irwin's Central Garden offers an intriguing place to rest.

Camarillo Premium Outlets
The Camarillo Premium Outlets are 120 stores featuring popular brand-name clothing and household items.
One of Beverly Hills’ most famous sites is the shopping Mecca of Rodeo Drive. An unmatched collection of stylish boutiques, internationally renowned fashion houses and national specialty stores is located within the few blocks that comprise the Golden Triangle. Whether you’re on a serious spree or “just looking,” Rodeo Drive is the ultimate Beverly Hills experience.
The Oaks Mall
The Oaks Mall is a two-level enclosed mall featuring 120 top-tier retailers.
Topanga Plaza
This newly remodelled indoor mall features over 330 retail stores.
Theatre/Performing arts
Kodak Theatre
The 3,400-seat Kodak Theatre is known to people around the globe as the first permanent home of the Academy Awards. As a first-class live entertainment venue, it has also hosted numerous prestigious artists and events, including touring Broadway productions.
Pantages Theatre
The Pantages Theatre is an old Hollywood theatre featuring Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals.
Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza
The 11-acre (4-hectare) Civic Arts Plaza complex combines tranquil parkland and a vibrant entertainment centre. The Plaza's Countrywide Performing Arts Center, one of the largest in California, consists of the 1,800-seat Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts and the 394-seat Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre. Both have hosted popular concerts, theatre performances and outstanding arts exhibitions in their state-of-the-art performance halls.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
Designed by the internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry, the 293,000 square-foot (27,220 square-metre) Walt Disney Concert Hall features a wavy steel exterior, designed to resemble a ship with its sail in full mast, representing Gehry's wish to create the feeling of travelling along a ceremonial barge to music. The centrepiece of the Concert Hall is the 2,265-seat auditorium, with natural lighting, in which the audience surrounds the orchestra. It was designed to look and feel like the ship's hull. Walt Disney Concert Hall is the fourth and most recent addition to the Music Center of Los Angeles County.
