Transportation

All major domestic and international airlines serve Vancouver International Airport, located approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Vancouver. Limousines, taxis, buses and car rentals are all available, and our Concierge would be delighted to assist you with your travel plans. Please note that all rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and may be subject to change.

Limousines

If you prefer to travel in comfort and style, we suggest reserving a luxurious private car and driver to meet you upon your arrival in Vancouver. Sedans, stretch limousines, minivans and sport-utility vehicles can be arranged, with rates starting at CAD 148.76, inclusive of all taxes and gratuity. Your driver will identify himself to you by carrying a sign with your name on it and will assist you with your luggage as you exit the building. Aerocar – standby limousine service

Aerocar has a stand at both the domestic and international terminals. They operate on a first-come, first-served system for airport arrivals – no reservations are taken. The one-way fare for a sedan or sport-utility vehicle is CAD 39.00 plus tax and gratuity, while a stretch limousine is offered at a one-way rate of CAD 45.00 for six passengers and CAD 70.00 for eight passengers.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available outside both terminals, 24 hours a day. Taxis charge a metered rate based on time and distance travelled. The approximate fare to Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is CAD 35.00. Should you require a wheelchair-accessible taxi, simply inform one of the BC Corps Commissioners stationed at the taxi queue area on the curb and roadway.

Car rental companies

Car rental facilities are conveniently located just steps from the terminal on the ground floor of the parkade. Most companies provide vehicle pick-up and return services directly from these facilities. They include Budget Rent-a-Car, Avis Rent-a-Car, Alamo Rent-a-Car, National Car Rentals, Dollar Rent-a-Car, Hertz Canada and Thrifty Car Rental. Our Concierge will be happy to send you driving directions to our Hotel by fax or e-mail or to assist you with booking a rental car.

Canada Line – rapid transit system

The Canada Line provides rapid transit from the airport to downtown Vancouver in approximately 25 minutes. The Canada Line departs from the Link Building, which is located between the domestic and international terminals. You may purchase your ticket from a machine, which currently accepts Canadian currency only (no credit cards). At the moment, the fare is the same as for all public transit in Vancouver (two zones: CAD 3.75 on weekdays; CAD 2.50 after 6:30 pm on weekdays and all day on Saturday, Sunday and holidays). A surcharge of an additional CAD 2.25 may apply effective January 1, 2010. Please note that there is a limited amount of room for luggage on the train. The nearest stop to the Hotel is at Vancouver Centre Station, one block from Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. Proceed up the escalators to W. Georgia Street. Turn left and proceed to the intersection with Howe Street. Turn right onto Howe Street to the Hotel.
