My Four Seasons

Greatest of Great Outdoors

As blankets of snow give way to fields of wildflowers, you can find new worlds of possibilities at Four Seasons Resort Vail, where there is no “off-season.”

In the warmer months, the powdered trails of Vail Mountain become a mountain biking paradise, with lift service available. Bike the rolling Grand Traverse Trail and cross the legendary back bowls of Vail, or go downhill all the way, through groves of aspen trees, via the windy Lion Down Trail.

Skip the lift service and bypass beaten and unbeaten paths altogether with a day of rock climbing. The ascendable mountains of Colorado are well suited for outdoors sports enthusiasts, corporate team building events and families of all ages.

For adventurers of a more explorative bent, a hike through Vail’s alpine meadows, spruce forests and rocky bluffs offers sightings of black bears, bighorn sheep and elk. A summertime wildflower walk at the nearby Nature Center reveals a kaleidoscope of colours.

“There are so many ways to see Vail – on foot or horseback, at the wheel of a mountain bike, from the backseat of a Hummer, while paddling down a river or even from the basket of a hot air balloon,” suggests Hans Willimann, General Manager. “We can easily arrange guided and self-guided tours, fly-fishing lessons, white water rafting, an afternoon of shooting sporting clays and much more.”

To experience the greatest of Great Outdoors, let our Concierge book your adventures ahead of your arrival. Should your decisions be spontaneous, and you find yourself in need of hiking boots, binoculars or any other kind of gear, fear not. Our Concierge will help you obtain everything you need for a grand time in Vail.
