General information
On the west bank of the Mississippi River, historic St. Louis is considered the gateway to the West. Its proud heritage dates back to native mound builders some thousand years ago and spans European fur traders, overland expeditions to the Pacific coast and the development of steamboats and railroads.
Today’s St. Louis plays a prominent role, nationally and internationally, in industry, finance and scientific research. It is also a cultural hot spot, with an abundance of museums, art galleries, theatres, gourmet restaurants and a dynamic nightlife. Four Seasons guests will enjoy the combined advantage of staying at the city’s most exclusive hotel and experiencing everything St. Louis has to offer.
