Morning

• Lunch at Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant* at Chen Huang Temple. Sample the famous “xiao long bao” and watch the kitchen operation through the kitchen glass wall.

Afternoon

• After a delicious meal, get your camera ready and head to Yu Garden in the centre of Shanghai’s Old City. Built in the Ming Dynasty, the exquisite layout, the beautiful scenery and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.
• Art lovers will like to discover M50, part of the contemporary art scene, located on 50 Moganshan Road is Shanghai’s hottest arts district (about 20 minutes from Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai). Once a textile mill, the complex known as M50 is vibrant with creative energy. Some of the city’s best-known artists work in the area – home to about 120 galleries and art studios. This is a must-see destination for collectors and trend-spotters, putting you in touch with today’s Chinese culture.

Evening

• When you have returned to the Hotel, visit Qin The Spa on level 6 – an urban sanctuary inspired by the ancient rites and healing methods of traditional Chinese medicine.
• Time to enjoy the renowned Si Ji Xuan Chinese restaurant on level 2, which serves traditional Cantonese combined with modern Shanghainese favourites.

Afternoon

• Head to Tai Kang Road for an afternoon of truly original alleyway adventures and shopping. Visit more than 200 diverse boutique shops from cafés, restaurants, art galleries and craft stores to designed houses and studios.
• Enjoy Dong Tai Antique Market in late-afternoon for fun treasure hunting. You will find every kind of Mao memorabilia, including old records, photos, lanterns, porcelain, chopsticks and knick-knacks.

Evening

• Save the mythical Bund for the evening, when the entire strip is dramatically lit, drawing the city’s bon vivants out to wine and dine into the wee hours. M on the Bund*, Mr and Mrs Bund* and New Heights* are just some of the hot fine dining restaurants overlooking The Bund.
  

Morning

• Start your day with delicious breakfast takeaway in a comfortable hotel limo that will take you to Zhouzhuang, a water village that has a history of 900 years. It is widely known as the Venice of the Orient and is believed to be the jewel in China's water-town crown.
