Wedding Planning

Events and Inspiration

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North offers gracious settings for your wedding guests. Outdoor venues showcase the stunning desert scenery - rocky peaks, saguaro forests and blooming bougainvillea. Indoors, rooms seamlessly integrate with the desert atmosphere. From all points of the Resort, the desert sky performs as a silent guest at your wedding - clear, sunny days are transformed by vibrant fuchsia and coral sunsets, finally settling into deep indigo nights that showcase the sky's sparkling beauty.

Engagement Party

Celebrate your love with an engagement party under the stars. The Resort benefits from clear, unobstructed views, which your guests can enjoy from the intimate Troon Lawn. Using a high-powered telescope, the Resort's astronomer will guide your guests through a remarkable journey of the planets and stars with the help of constellation charts at each place setting.

Bridal Showers

Gather friends and family to celebrate the bride with a luncheon, afternoon tea, ladies' sangeet or henna party. The Resort offers numerous foyers that are perfect for smaller receptions, with floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views and décor inspired by the vibrant Sonoran Desert in full bloom.

Rehearsal Dinner

Relax and mingle with wedding guests before the big day with a poolside Southwestern barbecue. The Resort's pool offers expansive outdoor space, with a built-in bar and a landscaped deck surrounded by beautiful saguaro blossoms.

Wedding Day Preparations

Prior to the ceremony, the bride can prepare for her walk down the aisle in her own private bridal salon. Here, she can touch up her make-up, check her hair and confer with her bridesmaids one last time. Equipped with everything she needs – a full-length mirror, residential furniture, sliced fresh fruit and flavoured water – the room can be kept throughout the evening and transformed into a babysitting room.

Ceremony

Declare your vows amid the Southwestern beauty of Troon Lawn. Two large circular lawns, one of which can serve as a dedicated ceremony area, aptly capture the spirit of union. Flowing through the lawn's two-tiered design is a graduated boulder waterfall encircling an elevated fire pit. With the stunning backdrop of Pinnacle Peak, the setting is particularly breathtaking at sunset.

The bride will take centre stage at Fountain Terrace, which is ideally shaped to accommodate a long aisle walk. Low steps lead to a flagstone path in a fresh and sunny landscaped setting accented by bougainvillea bushes. Crescent Butte hovers in the background, while Pinnacle Peak and the Valley of the Sun are showcased in views to the south.

The Ironwood Terrace offers a more secluded, exclusive setting. The bride begins her walk down the aisle from a charming stone staircase that descends onto the lawn, making for a romantic fairy-tale entrance. A raised staging area offers a natural ceremony space against a striking Sonoran Desert backdrop. The lawn is beautifully landscaped with its namesake ironwood tree, vibrant bougainvillea and other indigenous desert flora, numerous water accents and a dramatic fire feature.

Reception

Paired with ceremonies at Troon Lawn, the Troon Room features ironwood chandeliers, warm natural woods and rich golden tones for an inviting ambience that speaks of understated elegance, perfect for intimate wedding receptions.

For a seamless transition from ceremony to reception, the Pinnacle Ballroom pairs beautifully with a ceremony at the Fountain Terrace. With rich natural wood wainscoting and warm desert tones that reach to 21-foot (6-metre) ceilings, the Pinnacle Ballroom offers a sense of grandeur and Old World style.

Accompanying ceremonies at the Ironwood Terrace, the Ironwood Ballroom offers expansive reception space. With earthy golden tones, sleek white panelling and crystal chandeliers, the room embodies the unique beauty of the desert atmosphere with a chic edge.

Designed to reflect the surrounding beauty of the Sonoran Desert, the Ironwood Ballroom features a colour palette of earth tones, golds, sage and olive greens, as well as merlot, amber and burgundy details.

Post-wedding Brunch

Talavera restaurant offers semi-private dining in a warm ambience inspired by the Southwest. The perfect venue for rejoicing with friends and family over brunch on the morning after the wedding, the restaurant features rich hardwood, a hand-painted ceiling and a dramatic fire element framed by glass. From the terrace, dramatic views stretch to Pinnacle Peak and the Valley of the Sun.

Other Activities

The area surrounding the Resort offers ample opportunity for guests to extend the celebration into a vacation. Golf lovers can capitalise on the numerous renowned courses close to the Resort. Guests of Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North enjoy special privileges at both The Pinnacle and The Monument championship golf courses at Troon North Golf Club, as well as guest privileges at the Troon North Clubhouse.

For the adventurous, a Hummer tour of the Sonoran Desert offers the chance to explore Native American ruins and ghost towns and learn about indigenous flora and fauna. Or venture out on horseback with a knowledgeable guide.

Those looking for a more leisurely stay will enjoy margarita demonstrations by the pool, wine and tequila tasting sessions or campfire songs, stories and s'mores. Every Friday, a stargazing specialist unlocks the secrets to the desert night sky with an enlightening complimentary stargazing session.
