Bike tours and rentals

Experience the rugged beauty of the majestic Sonoran Desert by bike. Let your professional guide introduce you to the vast diversity of the desert landscape, or rent a bike and enjoy a self-guided tour.

Location: We can have bikes dropped off at the Resort - your adventure begins here!

Horseback/pony rides

Experience the beauty of Arizona on horseback-ride through the picturesque Sonoran Desert with knowledgeable guides, who describe the flora and fauna along the route. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the beauty.


Location: Ranches are located approximately 15 minutes from the Resort.

Hot air ballooning

See the Sonoran Desert from high above! Let your experienced pilot explain the workings of the balloon while you watch it inflate. Then enjoy the spectacular ride, made complete with an elegant champagne breakfast in the desert upon landing. This tour is offered morning and evening, depending on the season.

Hummer tours

Explore Arizona’s scenic Sonoran Desert inside a real HUM-V. Tours may include exploring Native American ruins and ghost towns, and learning about indigenous flora and fauna. This guided tour showcases some of the best views that the desert has to offer.

Rock climbing and canyoneering

Looking for the ultimate adventure? Try your hand at rock climbing. A professional guide will find the perfect spot to complement your skill level. If you are looking to really get your adrenaline pumping, go out on a canyoneering trip. Guides will lead you through canyons, past waterfalls, into tight spaces and hair-raising vertical rappels for the adventure of your life.

Docent for a Day

The Docent for a Day programme, offered in partnership with the Heard Museum and the Heard Museum North Scottsdale, sheds light on the workings of the museum world as seen through the eyes of leading curators and designers. Guests can go behind the scenes for a firsthand look at the process of establishing a leading collection of American Indian art.
