RESTORATIVE HOT STONE YOGA
Imagine enveloping your entire body and mind in a big hug. This deeply relaxing and gentle form of yoga involves fully supported postures held for longer durations.
Hot stones from the sacred Ayung River are placed on the body during each pose to let the heat penetrate the muscles. This melts away layers of physical and emotional tension, allowing you to fully relax and connect to the natural environment. The mind is invited to slow down and focus on the breath as static poses are held, relaxing the nervous system while strengthening the immune, digestive and reproductive systems.

Designed specifically to increase elasticity and mobility of connective tissues around joints – particularly knees, pelvis, sacrum, hips and lower spine – Yin Yoga is a slow, gentle practice suitable for all levels. It is recommended as a complement to more dynamic asana-based ‘yang’ practices that emphasize lengthening and contracting of muscles. In Yin Yoga, seated and supine poses are held for long durations, usually between 2-5 minutes each, to penetrate through muscles and reach the ligaments, tendons and fascia layers of the ‘yin’ tissues.
