Beach and Cabana Club
Combine dining and fitness with beachfront relaxation and fun at this legendary haven for leisure in a unique oceanfront setting. A daily access fee will apply for Superior and Deluxe guest rooms.

Butterfly Beach
A favourite spot of local residents, Butterfly Beach, located directly across the street from the Resort, is one of the best vantage points in Santa Barbara to watch glorious sunsets over the ocean. Take a romantic walk and simply enjoy the pristine sand and water, friendly atmosphere—and perhaps a bit of celebrity-spotting too!

Botanical walking tours
Horticultural treasures and exotic plants have been brought to the Resort's gardens from around the world, and our meticulous gardeners keep them flourishing year-round. View North America's largest collection of rare kentia palms, or snap a photograph under the famous Moreton Bay fig tree, which dates back to the 1800s and has branches that span hundreds of feet.

Bicycles
The Resort has beach cruisers (with helmets, locks, water and maps) available for adults and children. Guests can embark on a scenic ride along the 3-mile (5-kilometre) coastal bike path that runs from the Resort to the harbour and downtown’s State Street.

S'mores
What better way to end your day? During July and August, come join our s’mores experts on Mondays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm and create your own masterpiece! Check with the Concierge for the location of this can’t-miss complimentary event.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Try out a new watersport with paddle boarding lessons and equipment rentals on Butterfly Beach. Our watersports provider offers surfing and paddle boarding lessons on weekends during the summer months from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Reservations are required and fees apply. Surfboards, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs and umbrellas are also available to rent.

Putting Clinic
Join one of our resident golf professionals on Fridays at 2:00 pm on the Monte Vista Lawn putting green for a complimentary refresher on the most important part of your golf game.
Shuttle Service: On Saturdays and Sundays, our shuttle runs continuously to and from downtown Santa Barbara from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The shuttle drops off and picks up at Saks Fifth Avenue, allowing guests to take a leisurely stroll down historic State Street and explore its many shopping opportunities. The last departure from the Resort is at 4:30 pm, with the last pick up downtown at 5:00 pm. Reservations are not required for this first-come, first serve, complimentary service.
