Sullivan Goss An American Gallery
Sullivan Goss An American Gallery is located in the heart of Santa Barbara's Historic Arts District. Sullivan Goss deals in American art from 1850 to the present day, and offers a wide range of styles and an inventory of over 6,000 works. Sullivan Goss helps to build private and public collections, and has galleries in downtown Santa Barbara and Montecito.

Arts and Crafts Show
This outdoor exhibit features the work of Santa Barbara's local artists, including painters, sculptors and craft-makers.
Only 1.9 miles (3 kilometres) up the coast from the Resort, East Beach is located near downtown Santa Barbara. This is the most populated beach, frequented by tourists and locals alike. It is an activity-filled area, with restaurants, volleyball courts, in-line skating and water sports to choose from.
One of the wealthiest communities in the United States, Montecito is home to the Four Seasons Santa Barbara. Many beautiful, old houses and estates can be found in Montecito, which is located on the southern side of Santa Barbara.
Santa Barbara Zoological Gardens
Spread across a knoll overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Barbara Zoological Gardens features a variety of animals from around the world, a petting zoo, a train ride and 30 acres (12 hectares) of botanical gardens. Of the many species found at the zoo, 14 are part of an international species survival plan.
Stearns Wharf
Stearns Wharf, the West Coast's oldest operating wooden pier, offers a seafood market, wine-tasting, restaurants, gallerias and shops. Built in 1872 as a shipping terminal by lumber company owner John P. Stearns, the Wharf first made Santa Barbara accessible by sea. Today it has evolved into one of Santa Barbara's biggest tourist attractions with its seaside location, interesting shops and great fresh seafood restaurants. Stearns Wharf is also the home of the Sea Center museum, the embarking point of many leisure and tourist vessels.
The Montecito Country Club
Located five minutes from the Resort, the Montecito Country Club offers reasonably priced golf links and the only grass tennis court in the area.
Cruises and sailing available in sailboats, safari boats or catamarans. Go around wharf and harbour, through coastal areas or out to the Channel Islands.
The kelp beds off the coast of Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands offer some of the richest fishing grounds in the Pacific.
Approximately 7 miles (11 kilometres) from the Resort, this beach is located in front of Santa Barbara City College. Leadbetter Beach is mainly populated by local surfers and bodyboarders and is very popular among the students.
Paseo Nuevo Mall
Santa Barbara's outdoor shopping mall featuring Macys, Nordstrom, Bebe, Banana Republic, This Little Piggy and much more.
Santa Barbara Museum of Art
Known for local and international exhibits, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art houses many different pieces from paintings to sculptures and much more.
Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club
The club, established in 1911, is one of the oldest polo facilities in the United States. In addition to three polo fields, which host international outdoor competitions, the facilities include an enclosed polo area, a clubhouse, horse exercise and boarding facilities, and a tennis centre.
Between late February and mid-May, visitors can watch the migration of the grey whales travelling north through the Santa Barbara Channel to feeding grounds in the Bering Sea. Many tours are available. Please contact the Concierge for more details.

Santa Barbara Courthouse & El Paseo
The Santa Barbara Courthouse was completed in 1929 in a mission-revival style. The interior houses murals, rare art work, imported tiles and other artwork.
El Paseo (The Street) was originally an adobe ranch, but is now a fashionable shopping enclave. It is located a few easy blocks from the courthouse off State Street.
Ty Warner Sea Center
Located on Sterns Wharf, the Ty Warner Sea Center provides hands-on exploration of the diverse sea life found in the unique underwater habitat of the Santa Barbara Channel.
UCSB Campbell Hall - Performing Arts and Leisure

University of California at Santa Barbara
Located 20 minutes north in Goleta on El Colegio Road. Walking tours of the campus are given daily at 12:00 and 2:00 pm.

UCSB is home to the basketball teams (male and female) The Gauchos. Contact the Gaucho Intercollegiate Athletic Ticket Office for a schedule of events.
Circle Bar B Guest Ranch
A 45-minute drive north along the coast brings visitors to the Circle Bar B Guest Ranch. The Circle Bar B Riding Stables offer daily one-and-a-half-hour horseback trail rides, or half-day trail rides that include lunch.
Los Olivos
Take an afternoon stroll down Grand Avenue in Los Olivos for a mix of classic and contemporary, including Gallery Liz Montana, Cody Gallery, Gallerie d'Esperance, Judy's Fine Art Collection, Gallery Los Olivos and Pony Tracks. Try the local wine-tasting room, which offers an abundant array of local wines in a one-stop shop.

Solvang
A famous Danish community, offering shops, boutiques and many wonderful bakeries. Located 50 minutes north on 101 - the largest city in the Santa Ynez Valley. There are 300 or so stores, many of them contributing to the collective European architecture and attitude of "Little Denmark".
