Rancho San Marcos Golf Course
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the par-71, 6,800-yard, 18-hole course was built on the site of the circa-1804 Rancho San Marcos. The golf course meanders amidst ancient oaks, 19th-century adobe structures and the rugged San Marcos Stagecoach trail. Rancho San Marcos provides a unique setting – it is home to wild turkeys, deer and eagles, and showcases sweeping views of Lake Cachuma, the Santa Ynez River and the Santa Ynez Mountains. Amenities include a 6-hectare (15-acre) practice facility with all-grass tees, and sandstone fireplaces at the 1st, 10th and 13th tees where golfers can warm their hands on cool mornings.
