Jackson Hole is located in the north-western corner of Wyoming, just 20 minutes from the town of Jackson. The region’s name originates from the days when trappers used the term “hole” to refer to a valley surrounded on all sides by mountains. 

The Jackson Hole area is situated in the middle of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem – one of the largest ecosystems of its kind. With over 97% of the lands in Jackson Hole protected by national parks, land conservancies, and state and national forests, limiting residential development, this pristine mountain environment will be preserved for generations to come.

Renowned as one of the finest ski destinations in the world, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers 4,139 vertical feet (1,262 metres) of terrain and over 2,500 acres (1,012 hectares) of ski-able land, with a variety of ski terrains catering to all skill levels. The landscape is topped with 402 inches (1,021 centimetres) of dry-powder snow annually.
