General information

The magical charm and ideal weather of Mexico's west coast have long been a magnet for those seeking the perfect vacation and respite from colder climates. The Resort is on the northern tip of the Bahía de Banderas, one of the largest natural bays on the Pacific Coast. This new development spreads over 1,100 hectares (2,700 acres) of the Mexican coastal peninsula. The white sand beaches, clear blue waters and views of the mountains are unparalleled.

Punta Mita is considered one of the area's best spots for snorkeling. Scuba diving and surfing are available within a short distance from the Resort. Golf enthusiasts are sure to discover paradise, while other guests may prefer a day of shopping in Puerto Vallarta or a relaxing seaside afternoon absorbing the famous Mexican Riviera sunshine.

Seasonal highlights

Summer-Fall

The summer and fall seasons provide Vallarta's best diving conditions. Excellent visibility combined with warm water and calm seas make for an enjoyable diving experience. A night dive under the moon's light in October is one of the most unique experiences in the area. Visibility: surface, 9–24 m (30–80 ft.); bottom, 9–24 m (30–80 ft.). Temperature: surface, 29–31ºC (84–87ºF); bottom, 27–28ºC (80–83ºF).

December-March

Whale watching is a popular activity from December to March. The mighty humpback whale makes its migration passing through the Banderas Bay. Its playful behaviour is an amazing display of grace, power and beauty. Visit the whales with ecologoists and biologists who are involved with the research and protection of these magnificent animals.
