Cultural Center
Overview
Located on the Resort's lobby level, the Punta Mita Cultural Center provides a welcoming environment for Four Seasons guests to learn about Mexico’s history and culture. Through interactive programming and interpretive resources, the cultural, artistic and ecological highlights of Punta Mita and Bahía de Banderas are vividly presented. The Center is also a popular meeting place, with sweeping ocean views.
Resources
Experts on the region are on hand to help visitors discover places of interest, and the Center's library offers books on topics ranging from astronomy, archaeology and architecture to Mexican cuisine and literature. Laptops with Internet access are also available for the use of guests 14 years of age and older, with 30 minutes of complimentary Internet time per guest, per visit to the Center.
Art exhibits
In collaboration with Puerto Vallarta's renowned art galleries and several Puerto Vallarta resorts, the Cultural Center showcases the work of well-known and up-and-coming artists, year-round.

The Huichol: Witnesses of timeA one-hour lecture
The Huichols are a Native people indigenous to the western Sierra Madre mountains, and are one of the last tribes in North America to continue living as they did in pre-Columbian times. You will learn about their beliefs, traditions and unique handicrafts, which reflect a spiritual symbolism dating back at least 1,000 years.

Tequila: A gift from the godsA one-hour lecture and tasting
An icon of Mexican culture, tequila has an intriguing history, dating back to the Aztecs. This distilled spirit can only be produced from the Agave tequilana (blue agave plant). During tasting, you will be told the difference between the various kinds of tequila and given tips on ways to appreciate this fiery drink.

An overview of the origin, evolution and development of Mexican architecture from the Toltecs to the present day. The Toltecs were the artists and builders who inhabited the Punta Mita area around the year AD 700.

An overview of the rich history, colours and magic of Mexican painting throughout history, complemented by slides. Artists have played a fundamental role in Mexico, from the ancient Mayas and Toltecas to the present day. This is an opportunity to look at their enormous contribution to the world of art.

Mexican gastronomy: The alchemy of flavoursA one-hour lecture
Salsa and mole are two cornerstones of Mexican gastronomy. Learn how they differ from region to region, and about the extraordinary range of spices and surprising ingredients they can include.
