Tamai Pool Complex

This luxurious, adult-oriented pool complex combines four pools – two main pools and two plunge pools – a whirlpool, a full bar and 10 private cabanas. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, Tamai (which means "star" in the Huichol Indian language) offers a secluded, peaceful and romantic setting for lounging outdoors.

The main pools include a sun-drenched infinity-edge lap pool and a trellis-shaded pool with a half-moon-shaped whirlpool at one end. Soothing music plays both above and below the water, adding to the relaxing ambience. Lounge chairs in the sun or shade and a selection of complimentary magazines and sunscreen lotion complement the pools.

Nestled between the two main pools, a bar offers creative food and beverage menus. Bento boxes, sushi, caviar, tapas and salads are elegantly presented to be enjoyed poolside, and a variety of champagne drinks and exotic cocktails are available. Guests can also participate in low-impact fitness activities, including yoga, Pilates and meditation.

Poolside cabanas
Tamai also features 10 luxurious private cabanas that offer a secluded retreat for up to four guests each. Surrounded by soaring walls and cascading water, and grouped around a plunge pool and sunning area, each cabana features contemporary wood furnishings, including a daybed strewn with pillows. Other features include soft lighting, a 106-centimetre (42-inch) plasma television, DVD player, state-of-the-art sound system, and wireless high-speed Internet access, telephone, private bar with refreshing juices, water and cooling eye shades, and a variety of books and music selections. Outside each cabana is a private area with two chaises longues.

A personal cabana host pampers guests and provides complimentary amenities, including fruits and flowers, exotic food and beverages and iced bottled water. Cabana guests may order from Tamai Pool's bar menu or from In-Room Dining. A variety of spa treatments, including shiatsu massage, manicures and pedicures and the margarita foot treatment, are available in the comfort and privacy of a cabana.
