Arrival

Everyone is a special guest at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. Our youngest guests are greeted with a special gift from our toy treasure chest, and parents can arrange for complimentary bedtime snack if desired.

Day 1 – Science in the city

A day of discovery is at your doorstep. The Academy of Natural Sciences and the Franklin Institute are both conveniently located within walking distance from the Hotel.

Day

  • Following breakfast at Fountain Restaurant, explore two of the renowned museums located right in our neighborhood.
  • First, travel to the Academy of Natural Sciences. Walk through the tropical garden in the Live Butterflies exhibit while dozens of exotic species flit around you.
  • Roam through the academy’s Dinosaur Hall if Avaceratops, Elasmosaurus and T. rex are more your thing.
  • Then, head to the Franklin Institute. The latest in science and technology awaits at this electrifying museum.
  • From world-famous exhibits to the IMAX and Planetarium theaters, there’s always something exciting to see at The Franklin. Ask the Concierge about the latest exhibits.
  • To end your afternoon, you will love playing at the Please Touch Museum, which pays special attention to its youngest visitors with special toddler areas throughout.

Evening

  • Finish the day relaxing by our indoor pool, where you can enjoy dinner through In-Room Dining.

Day 2 – Philadelphia by land and sea!

Experience Philadelphia’s rich history by land and by sea with our Trolley and Duck tours.

Day

  • Have a leisurely breakfast with the family ordered through In-Room Dining, then get ready to explore.
  • The Philadelphia Trolley Works Tour stops right outside the Hotel and features Victorian-style open-air trolleys.
  • Take in the sights as the past meets the present through the colorful narrative of experienced tour guides.
  • Stops include Independence Hall/Liberty Bell, The National Constitution Center, Betsy Ross House and Independent Seaport Museum.
  • You can buy passes for 24 or 48 hours, giving you unlimited on-and-off privileges should any of the tour’s 20 stops strike your fancy.
  • Pick your lunch at the famed Reading Terminal Market, one of the oldest farmers’ markets in the country. Whether it’s sushi or cheesesteaks, there’s something for everyone!
  • See Philadelphia from land and water in one amazing vehicle on Philly’s original duck tour. Catch the tour on Market Street next to the Independence Visitor Center.

Evening

  • Dine at the The Lounge, enjoying views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the majestic Swann Memorial Fountain.
  • Relax and watch a movie in the comfort of your guest room with complimentary popcorn and soda for the kids.

Day 3 – Arts and leisure in Philadelphia

View Philadelphia’s rich art collections, the nation’s first zoo, and one of our historic parks.

  • Treat yourself to breakfast at Fountain Restaurant, a recipient of Forbes Travel Guide’s 2010 Five-Star Award. Just one look at our seasonal specialties, and you’ll know why.
  • Spend your morning visiting the galleries of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which hosts an impressive array of permanent as well as traveling collections.
  • Visit America’s first zoo, the Philadelphia Zoo. A 42-acre (19-hectare) Victorian garden is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered.

Evening

  • You’ll find something fun at Franklin Square, which is only open seasonally,  is a historical attraction that also boasts a miniature golf course, classic carousel, storytelling benches and a picnic area.
