Please feel free to contact us if we can assist you further. General informationThe name "Nevis" was derived from the Spanish word "nieve," which means snow. This name was given to the island by Christopher Columbus when he discovered it in 1492, due to the clouds on top of the mountain that he could see as he approached it. This unspoiled island offers visitors the opportunity to experience the Caribbean as it should be. The climate is consistently pleasant and there are no monolithic hotel complexes, congested beaches or frantic commercial centres. In fact, the government does not allow buildings to be taller than two storeys so that they will not be higher than the canopy cover of the palm trees. Please note: All visitors to the Caribbean, including children aged 3 years and older, must possess a valid passport.
