Swimming and snorkelling

The waters off Wailea Beach are clear, coral-free and safe, which makes for excellent swimming and snorkelling. Average water temperatures are 75°F (22°C) in winter and 85°F (28°C) in summer.

Scuba diving

Complimentary introductory scuba lessons are available in the pool, at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm daily. In addition to these complimentary clinics, Maui Under Sea Adventures offers the following daily activities; fees apply.

• Introductory reef dive
• Off-site dive: Makena Landing, Ulua Beach
• Dive options available: re-breathers and nitrox
• Scuba week certification: boat dive, scooter dive, night dive, wreck dive and unlimited beach dives
• PADI Scuba Certification: four ocean dives, all equipment and materials kit included
• Night dive (certified divers only)
• Underwater scooter
