Imperial Palace Bike Ride
More Four Seasons Stories
The emperor may not been an avid cyclist himself, but the best way to explore his royal gardens is by bike. Four Seasons is happy to set you on two wheels and let you explore the lush gardens that sit at our doorstep.
Your imperial ride begins at our centrally-located property, just minutes from the garden and imperial palace. You’ll be fitted with the perfect ride from our fleet of BMW bicycles. Did you know, the garden’s lush greenery was for centuries home to Edo Castle, the seat of the Tokugawa shogun? The Palace moved in 1867 and now sits just metres away, but the area still boats the same picturesque pathways, moats and bridges crossed by thousands of Japanese royals.
If cycling isn't your speed, you can also walk or jog through the route, a popular training spot for professional athletes.
