Stimulating hip and thigh treatment

This specialised treatment stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems. It concentrates on the areas of the body prone to blockages, cellulite, fluid retention and uneven skin texture. After deep exfoliation with a seaweed and salt rub, a detoxifying massage follows, using stimulating essential oils and an application of warm marine algae. The foot reflex zones and pressure points are activated, and then pressure point and lymphatic drainage massage is applied to the eye area, gently helping to purify and cleanse the body.

Ayurvedic treatments are truly personal journeys comprising various rituals adapted to the needs of the moment. Complete within themselves, the treatments can be brief or extended. Ancient ayurvedic traditions and healing disciplines coupled with western practices link with the inner intelligence of the body to nurture and help it rebalance itself in times of change and stress.

Ama-releasing abhyanga

Experience padabhyanga, the ceremonial foot-cleansing ritual, while sipping a relaxing tri-doshic herbal infusion. Then, a salt and oil body scrub stimulates and exfoliates the body, and a gentle facial cleanses. After a warm shower, surrender to an ayurvedic marma pressure point massage, as a warm infusion of oils and herbs is applied to the vital energy centres of face and body. The ritual concludes with a deeply relaxing shirobhyanga head massage or shirodhara treatment, in which oil is poured onto the third eye and through the scalp. Release congesting, restrictive toxins, achieve tranquillity and face the world with vitality restored.

Dosha-specific advanced stone massage and body wrap

Following a consultation to establish the dosha, the massage, wrap and ritual will be uniquely designed based on your needs.

First, relax and sip hot tri-doshic tea while this traditional, sophisticated treatment commences with a foot cleansing ritual. Then, a salt and oil body exfoliation enhances circulation and facilitates absorption of the oil and herbal treatments that follow. Individually prepared warm oils blended with ayurvedic herbal concentrates are then poured onto the body and hot or cold stones are used for the dosha-specific massage. Afterwards, the body is covered in deeply penetrating warm marine algae, mud or traditional oshadi clay, and warmed natural linens envelop the body, allowing the herbs and oils to penetrate deeply, enhancing their effectiveness. A luxurious Indian head massage – including deep inhalation of therapeutic aromatic oils and stimulation of facial marma points, to help renew and revitalise the skin – completes the treatment.

The vata-type person may often suffer from dry skin and anxiety, and be affected by cold, dry weather. Vata needs warmth, nourishment, hydration, comfort and healing. This treatment helps to enhance the comfort of the skin and balance the mind, using ancient Indian herbs such as brahmi and oshadi as well as nourishing mud extracts.
