Lana'i The Lodge at Koele

This ocean adventure explores some of the most remote and unspoiled sites in Hawaii. Lana'i is home to one of Hawaii's largest schools of spinner dolphins, and offers a haven to North Pacific humpback whales from December through April. These fascinating mammals are often spotted on our sailing adventure. Members of our Lana'i crew are Certified Island Naturalists and make each trip educational and entertaining for our guests.

Join an experienced ocean kayak guide for an island adventure that is beyond the ordinary. Explore Lana'i's complex ecosystems and unique flora and fauna at the North Shore of Lana'i, which offers one of the longest barrier reefs in the state of Hawaii. This shallow-water lagoon is ideal for kayak paddlers of all abilities. With the largest green sea turtle rookery in Hawaii, it is not uncommon to encounter dozens of turtles within the first hour of your visit. Hawaiian monk seals are also sometimes seen on the beach. Both single and double kayaks, with accessories, are available.

The sunset sail is ideal for any guest who wants to relax and enjoy the tropical breezes while sailing the Lana'i coastline. The sail lasts approximately two hours.

This sailing adventure is perfect for the guest who wants to get out on the ocean and then experience the very best of underwater Lana'i. Guests sail on a spacious catamaran for a four-hour ocean adventure to renowned snorkel sites. Along coastal reef sites, guests are likely to spot many types of colourful fish and wildlife.

Polihua Beach and Shipwreck Beach
With only 30 miles (48 kilometres) of paved road, the island of Lana'i is well suited to off-roading. Explore miles and miles of the island's rugged terrain while taking in the scenery of the Munro Trail, Garden of the Gods, Polihua Beach and Shipwreck Beach. Take along a Four Seasons picnic for a private, unforgettable experience at the location of your choice. Jeep and Hummer rentals and guided tours are offered, satisfying all levels of adventurer.
