General Manager Olivier Masson
Olivier Masson is General Manager of
Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. Since 1998, when Masson started his career with Four Seasons, he first worked in Jakarta and then Hong Kong. He comes to Cairo from Argentina, where he managed both Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires and Four Seasons Resort Carmelo, Uruguay.
“I am confident that Olivier will accept this new challenge with the same degree of enthusiasm and dedication with which he’s approached his previous posts with Four Seasons,” said Wolf Hengst, President, Hotel Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “He comes to Cairo with vast experience in the hotel industry, which will serve us well as we open this most important property.”
Masson’s 20-year hospitality career began in food and beverage with Hilton in Puerto Rico. Following strategic moves to Venezuela and Colombia, Masson joined the Hyatt group as a Regional Food and Beverage Director, where in the early ‘90s, he assisted in the opening of the Grand Hyatt Wailea Resort & Spa in Hawaii. He later went on to work for Ritz-Carlton, where he also participated in the openings of two new properties before becoming Vice President and General Manager at El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Puerto Rico.
Masson was born in Morocco, studied in Switzerland and graduated from Florida International University in Miami. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish and is a self-described motorcycle enthusiast.
“I have a passion for Harley Davidsons,” Masson said. “I look forward to discovering all the wonders of Egypt on my bike.”
Masson lives in Cairo with his wife Nanette and two teenaged boys, Lawrence and Phillip.
