Teeing off and can't see the hazards? In the rough and don't know your yardage? Don't worry, just consult your golf cart. At Four Seasons Resort Aviara, golf carts are equipped with Global Positioning Systems, that give golfers an instant read on the distance to the hole from where the ball lands. The large, color viewing screen graphically shows the golfer the hole, green and cart path overviews. It can be used to keep score and communicate with the golf shop. Golfers can even order lunch to be delivered at the 10th tee box. For tournaments, the GPS records scores in real time and measures longest drives. The golf shop can also add pro tips to the system for each hole. Once you've golfed with the "smart carts" at Four Seasons Resort Aviara there will be no turning back.
