We give a special aloha to our youngest guests, and our resourceful Concierge are always close at hand to offer suggestions for tomorrow's fun family activities, to make reservations for a family dinner on the beach, or help arrange a babysitter.

Arrival

As you arrive at the Resort, you are met in the lobby entrance with chilled oshiboris, dried fruit, refreshing mai tais or juice and beautiful traditional leis for every member of the family.

Spend your first day at the resort relaxing and exploring the properties facilities.

Day

• Following breakfast at the oceanfront Pahu i‘a – where its namesake, a large aquarium, will delight the kids – take advantage of the many activities available right at the resort.
  
• Change into your swimsuits and choose from our six pools, including the Keiki children’s pool, to begin your vacation.
  
• At lunchtime, the poolside menu at Sea Shell will satisfy your appetite with delicious casual fare and fresh fruit smoothies.
  
• After lunch, visit the Fish Circus, where our colorful and smart fish can be trained to perform tricks. Kids have a great time taking turns being the Ring Leader.
  
• Next, visit the Keiki Lei Making at Ka‘upulehu Cultural Center – take home a flower lei that you made, or give it to a loved one as a gesture of aloha.
  

Evening

• Dine at the oceanfront Beach Tree where the Keiki Menu features kids’ favorites like mac & cheese, mini pizzas and peanut-butter cookie ice cream sandwiches.
• Children’s table activities and gadgets – like a rotating pasta fork and an ice cream cone spinner – keep kids entertained while their parents enjoy their meal.
• Before heading back to your room, stop by Hale Kula, a game and activity centre geared primarily toward teens but that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
  

Explore the Big Island with a jam-packed day of adventure.

Day

• Order breakfast from In-Room Dining and eat with the whole family on your private lanai.
  
• After breakfast, take a snorkelling trip to Kealakekua Bay, where you’ll see a dazzling array of beautiful tropical fish.
  
• Next, zipline across Kohala’s Albizia forest. Your final destination is a 32-foot (10-metre) waterfall with a spectacular view of our sister island, Maui.
  
• Enjoy lunch at the only vanilla farm in the U.S. and learn about the 2nd most expensive spice in the world – Hawaiian Vanilla Bean.
  
• After lunch, let the adventures continue at the Climbing Wall – bring the whole family and enjoy the fun, camaraderie and bonding that comes with supporting each other.
  
• Next, go shoreline fishing and enjoy catching and releasing fish in the sand and surf.
  
• Kids from 8 to 12 years of age can learn how to SCUBA in our swimming pool, where our dedicated staff will teach them basic skills.
  
  

Evening

• Family dinners on the beach are fun-tastic. Private family dinners can be arranged for parties of 5 to 12 guests.
  
• They include a three-course dinner, private server, floral centerpiece and personal chef.

Day

• Following breakfast at the oceanfront Pahu i‘a, enjoy more activities at the Resort.
  
• Kids can take part in a Junior Golf Clinic – designed for ages 10 and up, it will get kids excited about the game of golf.
  
• First-timers will receive an introduction to the basics of golf, while experienced players focus on the fundamentals of the golf swing with great tips from our pros.
  
• Next up, kids can take part in the popular Kala Pa`a Gold Coin tennis clinics, which highlight the basics of the game while making sure kids are having fun.
  
• Break for lunch at the Beach Tree and dine on California cuisine with Italian influences.
  
• After lunch, take a Keiki Drum, Dance and Rhythms class sure to create memories. Combine simple, dynamic movements with drum rhythms for an experience your child will never forget.
  
  

Evening

• Ultimate Hawaiian Night Golf is a premier event that starts with a culinary feast, followed by a 5-hole Pro-Am under the stars.
