Royal Suite (della Gherardesca)
Located in the nobles’ quarters of the Palazzo della Gherardesca, this suite captures the very essence of living as a noble Florentine family in times gone by. Every room boasts art on the vaulted ceilings, beautiful frescoes and stuccos, and an original Capodimonte Maioliche-style ceramic floor by Ignazio Chiaiese in the gallery. The combination of restored art and modern convenience make this the most desired accommodation in the city.
- Boasting a comfortable seating area in the main gallery and French windows overlooking the Palazzo park and Borgo Pinti, this suite’s other features include a gallery with large windows overlooking gorgeous park vistas.
- An additional separate living room offers a more intimate space. It leads to a rich marble bathroom and to the bedroom, which also offer breathtaking views of the park.
- This splendid residence features a dining room that seats up to eight people.
- The suite is equipped with a flat-screen satellite television, CD and DVD player, built-in safe large enough to accommodate a laptop computer, high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, clock radio with iPod docking station, two direct-dial, multi-line telephones with voice mail, and a fully stocked private bar.
- The large ensuite marble bathroom features a large vanity, deep soaking European tub, separate glass-enclosed rain shower and steam shower, bidet and private WC. A guest powder room is located near the main gallery.
