The Stradivari. Stringed instruments so unique, it is impossible to explain or reproduce their sound. A once-in-a-lifetime event awaits as the Stradivariuses of the Nippon Music Foundation, along with the Stradivari Archinto of the Royal Academy of London, will be played in front of an icon of Italian art, Michelangelo's David, Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Galleria dell'Accademia. The concert, a fundraiser for Maggio Musicale's outreach programs, will be followed by a dinner reception with musicians of the Nippon Music Foundation at Palazzo Tornabuoni, a Medici era Palazzo and the birthplace of Opera.
