Instructions

• Leave the airport terminal and take the main exit, onto a large signal-controlled roundabout
• At the roundabout, take the second exit, marked M1/City Centre
• Follow the M1 south for about 6 kilometres (4 miles)
• The motorway will end at a traffic signal, with a large red brick church on the left; continue through this signal onto Swords Road
• Continue along Swords Road through its intersection with Griffith Avenue, onto Drumcondra Road; the road goes downhill past the Jury's Skylon Hotel on the right
• Continue straight on the tree-lined section of Drumcondra Road, through the traffic signal at Clonliffe Road (on the left) and under the overhead metal railway bridge
• Turn left at the fourth traffic light, onto Gardiner Street UPR
• Continue through the next traffic signal, across Mountjoy Square West, and downhill onto Gardiner Street LR
• At the end of the street you will pass under an overhead railway bridge, and the Custom House will be directly ahead
• Continue through the intersection following the perimeter of the Custom House
• Keeping in the left lane, continue across the River Liffey via Talbot Bridge
• On the south side of the river, turn left onto the river quays
• Follow the river quays for a short distance and take the sixth right-hand turn, onto Cardiff Lane/Macken Street
• Pass under an overhead railway bridge, then turn left at the next junction onto Grand Canal Street
• Continue on Grand Canal Street over the Grand Canal and through the next traffic signal, onto Shelbourne Road
• At the third traffic signal on Shelbourne Road, turn left onto Merrion Road (Richard Ellis Gunne property will be on your left side)
• Continue on Merrion Road across the River Dodder at Ballsbridge; the buildings of the Royal Dublin Society showgrounds will be visible on the right
• At the fourth traffic signal, turn right onto Simmonscourt Road
• The Hotel entrance is on Simmonscourt Road on the right side

Note: The Irish drive on the left-hand side of the road. Most rental cars are manual; be sure to request an automatic car if you require one.

Exercise care on roundabouts:

• Vehicles already on the roundabout have the right of way
• Indicate (signal) your intention to change lanes or to exit the roundabout
