Particularly noteworthy is the environmental preservation of Sherwood's riparian areas.

Designed in the late 1970s by world-renowned golf course architect William Francis Bell, Jr., the Malibu Golf Club evokes the nostalgia of golf landmarks built at the turn of the 20th century. The course offers 18 holes of championship golf in one of the most breathtaking settings in Southern California, nestled in the majestic rolling hills of the Santa Monica Mountains. Located only 15 minutes from the Hotel, the club offers a full restaurant and on-site bar.

Robert E. Cupp, the nationally renowned course architect, designed the 18-hole layout for this course. It is complete with an extensive practice facility located in the foothills of eastern Ventura County.

This 27-hole course meanders through canyons and arroyos and along creeks and ridgelines. Championship design was by Jacobsen/Hardy. Stunning views are of surrounding valleys, the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
