All The Ways to Say “I Do”

With the Hotel’s location in the internationally popular city of San Francisco, you’d expect to find a multilingual staff. If you’re a bride (or groom) to be, you’ll be happy to note that our wedding professionals are quite fluent in the language of love, and know a world of ways to say, “I do.”

Arrive before the start of an Indian wedding at the Hotel and you might find the bridegroom garbed in glittering brocade and seated on a caparisoned elephant. More likely, he will be riding a white mare during the “baraat”, a traditional Indian wedding procession. Either way, one of our wedding specialists will obtain the special-event permit needed from the city, and ensure the surrounding streets are cordoned off, if necessary.

On another day, you may hear the shattering of glass as a Jewish couple stand under a chuppah (wedding canopy). Upon request, a Four Seasons wedding specialist will arrange for the “kosherising” of the kitchen. During the ritual cleansing, which may take several days, a kosher inspector, oft times with blowtorch in hand, will ensure that the kitchen has been cleaned of impurities.

Should you be here for a Chinese wedding banquet, you may lose count of the bride’s numerous dress changes (at least three). The bride may appear at first dressed in traditional white, before slipping into to a fitted red silk dress for the reception. As the festivities end, she may bid her guests farewell in a “Song Ke” (See Guests Off) dress. For the ever-changing bride, the all-day convenience of a private dressing room will be provided.

From intimate affairs to lavish celebrations, allow Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco to help you honour your cultural and religious traditions (or create new ones), and plan a wedding your guests will talk about for years to come.
