My Four Seasons

City of Views

Called the “City of 100 Spires,” Prague is indeed a magical site. With a mix of architectural styles that range from Renaissance and Baroque to more modern influences, along with stunning river views, the city is a dream for photographers of all skill levels.

The only challenge our visitors face is where to get the best shot.

“Many guests have asked us for the best places to take pictures,” says Petr Zezula, Chef Concierge at Four Seasons Hotel Prague. Which is why the concierge team has designed a unique Fotomap of some of the city’s most beautiful sites, complete with recommendations for the best times to capture these stunning vistas. “We thought it would be a nice touch to give insider tips on where and when to take pictures. Prague is a fairly tale city and very photogenic – so why not to get the best out of it and keep nice memories?”

The map includes 11 “must-see” sites around the city, all marked with a camera icon and the time of day where the light is optimal for picture taking. Some of the noteworthy landmarks include Prague Castle, the Dancing House, the National Theatre and Strahov Monastery, and also vantage points where one can get the best city and Vltava river views, such as Belvedere or Hanavsky pavilion. Maps are available from the concierge desk.

As for shutterbug guests who prefer more hands-on direction? "Four Seasons can also arrange private city guides or even a professional photographer to accompany guests and give a lesson in photography,” adds Petr.
