Weddings

Wedding Planning

The signature style of your wedding lies in the details – the décor, lighting, menu, photography and other elements. Whether you’re looking for a taste of traditional Hawaiian culture or contemporary sophistication, your wedding professional will help you create a personalised, unique experience you and your guests will remember for a lifetime.

Photography

The Resort offers a wealth of stunning locations to capture your wedding day. At the Wedding Tree, black lava bluffs overlook white-sand beaches and azure ocean waters, creating a dramatic contrast of colours – a stunning backdrop for your photos. Its west-facing location offers an even more spectacular effect at sunset, when the sun’s fleeting "green flash" can often be seen. Alternatively, the Resort’s sparkling beaches and lush tropical gardens set the scene for equally impressive shots.

Our photographers bring a knowledge of and familiarity with the property that allows them to use your time effectively and create professional, stunning mementos of your special day.

Flowers

The Resort's in-house florist offers convenient, professional floral services and will consult with you directly to customise arrangements for your wedding. In addition to traditional floral wedding arrangements, our florist can provide creative and exotic floral details to add a touch of the islands in unique and memorable ways. Greet your guests in true Hawaiian style with colourful leis or dress up your cocktails with fragrant orchids. For a romantic surprise, we can draw a bath filled with delicate petals. A path of orchid petals brings a romantic touch to the ceremony.

Our florist specialises in blending tropical florals and motifs into traditional arrangements. Most pieces use flowers and plants grown locally in the islands, many by small farmers and local residents who don’t grow flowers commercially but open the bounty of their gardens to our clients. We benefit from a constant supply of tropical flowers, including exotic orchids, dramatic gingers, and gorgeous roses grown in Waimea, just up the mountain on the Kona coast.

Décor

Our unique outdoor spaces are surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Whatever your theme or style of wedding, we can offer additional decorative touches to enhance the atmosphere. Tiki torches lit throughout the Resort create an elegant atmosphere with an island twist. At the Garden Lawn or Hoku Theatre, white Chinese lanterns strung in trees create a false ceiling and add a warm glow, while twinkling lights wrapped around tree trunks add an air of whimsy and romance.

Green choices

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is committed to ecological responsibility. Our recycling and composting programmes are an integral part of our regular operations and help us reduce waste. We also use compact fluorescent light bulbs throughout the Resort.

For couples concerned with the environmental impact of their event, the Resort offers the Malama ‘Aina – “Care of the Land” package, which offers alternative lighting options, biodegradable and sustainable place settings and arrangements and an exciting menu using sustainable, regional and seasonal resources. Learn more about the Malama ‘Aina – "Care of the Land" package here.

Your wedding professional can identify other ways in which you can reduce the carbon footprint of your celebration, and will help you implement environmentally sound measures throughout the entire planning process.
