Recreational Activities

Wind and Wave

To the Polynesian voyager, the ocean was a source of life. It brought recreation, food, knowledge and joy. The Alaka'i Nalu live these values and perpetuate them daily as stewards of the ocean. The Ultimate Alaka'i Nalu Adventure is a voyager's dream: a private tour of the Ka`upulehu coast by canoe or ribcraft boat for groups or families. You can paddle, boogie board, snorkel or look for whales and dolphins.

  • Ocean ambassadors

The Alaka’i Nalu, or “leaders of the waves,” are Hualalai’s ocean ambassadors. They will share with you not only their skills in water sports, but also their love and knowledge of Hawaiian culture and the ocean life around us.
