My Four Seasons

Contemporary Art

With 103 soaring storeys and a skylit atrium crowning its triangular tower, Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou has been hailed for its unique hotel design. We’d even venture to say that our guest rooms are works of art in themselves. As the rising building narrows, diagonal latticework and tapering columns add a distinctive shape and personality to each room.

It’s no surprise that this makes for an ideal canvas to display our collection of postmodern Chinese and international artwork.

Your journey begins in the sunlit lobby, decorated with vibrant laser-cut screen panels by Jennifer Marchant and free-standing bronze sculptures by David Morris.

Gao Xiaowu’s balloon-shaped figures add star wattage to the mix, with selections from his blockbuster Dream City series. A host of framed artwork rounds out the collection, with woodcuts by Ying Tianqi and colourful canvasses by Wu Meng Chun. And from Gu Gan – a pioneer of the Modernist movement in China – a lush still life brilliantly melds abstract technique with indigenous calligraphic forms.

All Four Seasons hotels are designed to be pleasing to the eye, but with its combination of stunning architecture and first-class art decorating each guest room and public space, our hotel in Guangzhou may prove to be among our most beautiful.
