My Four Seasons

Art in Residence

You might not associate Dublin's elegant Ballsbridge as the place to find Ireland's darlings of the art world, but Four Seasons Hotel Dublin has been shaking things up. And its exciting and extensive contemporary art collection has put Ballsbridge on the map.

For over a decade, Four Seasons Dublin has been building a distinguished and diverse collection that's estimated to be worth over $500,000. Walking through the halls visitors can view the work of critically-acclaimed artists like Louis le Brocquy, Tony O'Malley, Barrie Cooke and Sean Scully. And on display are also fresh new faces: Bernadette Kiely, Blaise Drummond, Gillian Lawler, and Bridget Flannery.

Ultimately, it's the range of aesthetics and mediums that keeps art lovers returning. You'll find paintings, sculpture, tapestries, and limited edition prints from up-and-coming, local graphic artists throughout the Hotel lobby, bar and restaurants.

In one of the greatest private art commissions recently undertaken in Ireland, Four Seasons Dublin selected ten renowned artists to produce original works for permanent display in the hotel's hip ICE bar. You'll feel like you are at an art gallery opening as you sip lush cocktails and savour pieces from Louis le Brocquy HRHA, Liam Belton RHA, Barrie Cooke, and Felim Egan. There are also phenomenal works from John Keating, Sean McSweeney, Anne Madden, Gwen O'Dowd, Maria Simmonds-Gooding, and the late Tony O'Malley HRHA.

Four Seasons Dublin offers brochures and tours for art-lovers and newbies alike. Considering how many locals and tourists come for a return visit and the growing interest in its art collection, the Hotel may need to limit customers to one art tour per day.
