Dublin Airport is located 14 kilometres (8.5 miles) from the Hotel and is served by a range of major airlines. Direct flights are available from Dublin to destinations in the United Kingdom, Europe, United Arab Emirates and North America. Taxi and coach services to the city are available on the Arrivals level at Dublin Airport. In addition, all major car rental firms are represented at the airport. Limousine transfers may be arranged through the Hotel Concierge. For drivers, valet parking is available at the Hotel.

Instructions

  • Exit the airport onto a large signal-controlled roundabout. Take the second exit marked M1/City Centre. Head south on the M1 for about 4 miles.
  • The Motorway will end at a traffic signal with the large red-brick Whitehall Church on the left. Continue through this signal onto Swords Road.
  • Continue along Swords Road to the crossroads with Griffith Avenue. Proceed through the light onto Drumcondra Road. The road goes downhill past the Dublin Skylon Hotel on the right.
  • Continue straight onto the tree-lined section of Drumcondra Road, under the overhead railway bridge, as far as the next traffic light intersection with Clonliffe Road (left-hand side).
  • At the fourth traffic light beyond the railway bridge, turn left onto Gardiner Street Upr. Continue through the next signal across Mountjoy Square West and downhill onto Gardiner Street Lr.
  • At the end of this street you will pass under an overhead railway bridge. The green dome-topped Custom House building will be directly ahead. Continue through this traffic light, crossing the LUAS tramline and following the perimeter of the Custom House (Beresford Place). Keep to the left-hand lane as you continue across the River Liffey via Talbot Bridge. On the south side of the river, turn left onto City Quay.
  • Follow City Quay for a short distance and take the fourth right-hand turn into Lombard Street East. Continue to the second crossroads with Pearse Street. Go straight onto Westland Row.
  • Continue to the second traffic signal, turning left and then immediately right onto Lr Merrion Street. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Merrion Square North/R118.
  • Continue straight from Merrion Square North onto Lower Mount Street and past the Schoolhouse Restaurant onto Northumberland Road. At the end of the road, continue straight onto Pembroke Road as far as the next traffic signal with the United States Embassy on the right-hand side.
  • Continue straight through the next traffic signal at Shelbourne Road (Sherry Fitzgerald Property on the left-hand side), onto Merrion Road. At the fourth traffic light after Shelbourne Road prepare to turn right into Simmonscourt Road.
  • The entrance to Four Seasons Hotel Dublin is a short distance along this road on the right-hand side.

Via Port Tunnel

Instructions

  • Exit from the airport terminal to a large, signal-controlled roundabout. Take the second exit marked M1/City Centre. Head south on the M1, remaining in the right-hand lane.
  • The right-hand lane will become the entrance to the Dublin Port Tunnel. A toll is payable on exiting the tunnel at Dublin Port. Southbound toll: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 pm - EUR 10; all other times (including public holidays) - EUR 3
  • Exit the tunnel and continue straight ahead past the O2 Arena toward the East Link Toll Bridge.
  • Cross the river on the East Link Toll Bridge (current toll is EUR 1.70) and follow the road to the next roundabout. Take the third exit onto Sean Moore Road.
  • At the traffic signal at the end of Sean Moore Road, veer left onto Beach Road. Take the sixth right-hand turn onto Seafort Road. Follow this road to the crossroads at the centre of Sandymount Village.
  • After the pedestrian traffic light, take the next right turn onto Sandymount Avenue. Follow this road, crossing the DART railway line, as far as the next traffic light at the junction with Merrion Road.
  • Continue straight through this crossroads onto Simmonscourt Road. The entrance to Four Seasons Hotel Dublin is a short distance up this road on the right-hand side.

    * Bloomsday: Every year on June 16, Bloomsday celebrates the events of a single day in 1904, as chronicled in James Joyce's novel Ulysses. Visit locations described in the book and take part in readings, walks and convivial activities of all sorts that in some way connect with Ulysses, its author and its world. A Bloomsday Festival runs from June 10 to 16.
