Five-day Itinerary
Four Seasons is pleased to help customize an itinerary for your group or party. Savour scenic natural surroundings, explore local culture with visits to historic sites, villages and markets, or take part in a host of activities on land or sea. To provide a taste of the experience, we have created these sample itineraries. We invite you to contact us to discuss your needs.
Day 1
Arrival
Guests are greeted at the airport by Four Seasons staff and welcomed with chilled towels and a refreshing beverage, followed by a scenic 40-minute drive to Peninsula Papagayo. Upon arrival at the Resort, guests are greeted with a glass of the fresh juice of the day.
Day
Unwind at the Resort's pool or choose from one of the following activities:
- Rejuvenate with a rainforest massage or Costa Rican aromatherapy facial at the Spa
- Re-energize at the Fitness Centre
- Take a Spanish lesson
Evening
Delight in the Resort’s authentic Costa Rican flavour in a special event with a local flower market theme, while admiring sweeping Pacific Ocean views from the Event Lawn's hilltop vantage point.
Turndown amenity: A customized floral arrangement made from flowers selected at the flower market.
Day 2
Breakfast
Share an orientation breakfast in either Guanacaste Terrace or Di Mare restaurant.
Day
Explore stunning surroundings with a kayak adventure, a nature hike or a canopy tour, or take Pilates, yoga or spinning classes at the Fitness Centre. Golf tee times or a tournament can also be arranged.
Evening
Attend an elegant evening at Playa Prieta Beach Club or experience the local flavour of a Costa Rican ranch and Guanacaste rodeo at La Chacara, featuring Four Seasons catering.
Turndown amenity: A Costa Rican-crafted beach bag with sun and adventure essentials.
Day 3
Breakfast
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your room or at Papagayo restaurant.
Day
Choose from one of the following activities:
- Horseback riding at El Aromal
- Canyon tour at Guachipelin
- Hiking through Palo Verde National Park
- Carobici River float tour
- Snorkelling and sailing
- Deep sea fishing
- Golf clinic
Evening
Dine at one of the Resort's restaurants – Di Mare, Papagayo, Congo's or Caracol – or enjoy the comfort and convenience of
In-Room Dining.
Turndown amenity: A basket of fine Costa Rican coffees or a "Make-Your-Own-Mojito" kit.
Day 4
Breakfast
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your room or at Papagayo restaurant.
Day
Relax by the pool or at the beach or choose from one of the following activities:
- Sky walk in the rainforest
- Bird watching
- Trail of Giants nature tour of the Audubon-certified golf course
- Scuba diving
Afternoon/Evening
Board a luxury catamaran for a breathtaking sunset reception while cruising around the Peninsula, then return to the Resort's Playa Virador for a lobster bake dinner.

Day 5
Breakfast
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your room or at Papagayo restaurant.
Day
Choose from one of the following activities:
- Cooking class
- Beach volleyball
- Tennis
- Pilates, yoga or total training in the Fitness Centre
- A rejuvenating spa treatment
- Sea experience with a glass-bottom flotation device
Evening
Attend an elegant cocktail reception on the Guanacaste Terrace, followed by a rainforest-themed awards dinner in the Guanacaste Ballroom.
