Transportation
Costa Rica is readily accessible from all major points in the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Arrive at a state-of-the-art airport terminal at Daniel Oduber - Liberia International Airport (LIR). Routes include: JetBlue non-stop from JFK-NYC, Delta direct service from Minneapolis, and a Sun Country Airlines charter flight from Minneapolis.
Please note: All visitors to Costa Rica must possess a passport that's valid for at least three (3) months after their date of arrival. Those travelling from Europe who decide to pass through Colombia, Venezuela or any other South-American country and then come to Costa Rica must also have a Yellow Fever shot.
Services provided by the Hotel
All guests are met upon arrival at Liberia International Airport. Once at the Resort, they are greeted with a refreshing welcome beverage and chilled towel.
For a hassle-free check-in experience, guests can book our private transfer from the airport before their trip to Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica. Private transfer service includes:
- Air conditioned, private vehicle that can accommodate up to five guests including luggage
- Free wireless Internet
- The option to use our new mobile video check-in to avoid waiting at time of arrival (curbside check-in)
- Your room or suite ready at arrival, or alternative room for rest if arrival is earlier than standard check-in time
- The option to order room service that will be ready when you arrive
- Guaranteed dinner or spa reservations before arrival
- Private transfer is for the rate of 190 USD each way (total fee for up to five passengers).
Should transfers be required, please provide us with your flight details at least 24 hours prior to your arrival. Please be aware that there is a 24 hour cancellation fee for arrival and departing transportation. Note: Only private transfers will be available for flights within Costa Rica.
Shared Transportation:
We offer an air conditioned, shared Four Seasons shuttle bus with the one-way rate of 40 USD per person. Children three years of age and under are complimentary.

Instructions
- Exit the airport, and drive about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles), about two minutes, to the main road until the
- Turn right at the intersection onto Route 21
- Drive approximately 8.5 kilometres (5.3 miles), about 8 minutes, on Highway 21 West
- At the Do it Center, turn right
- Continue on this road toward the Resort for approximately 26 kilometres (16.2 miles), about 30 minutes
- The Resort is at the end of this road after entering Peninsula Papagayo

Instructions
- Take a left out of the airport onto Route 1
- Drive on Route 1 for about 200 kilometres (124.3 miles) - you will pass San Ram
- In Liberia, at the traffic light near the Burger King, turn left onto Route 21, and drive about 20 kilometres (12.4 miles), about 20 minutes
- At the Do it Center, turn right
- Continue on this road toward the Resort for approximately 26 kilometres (16.2 miles), about 35 minutes
- The Resort is at the end of this road after entering Peninsula Papagayo
