Events and inspiration

The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel) offers stylish spaces to suit any guest list. Declare your vows against the dramatic backdrop of Chicago's city lights in the Ballroom, or delight in the romantic European charm of the intimate Dining Room.

Engagement party

Welcome close friends and family to the warm residential atmosphere of the Trianon to celebrate your engagement. This casually sophisticated setting, enlivened by the lounge atmosphere, is the perfect venue for cocktails or intimate receptions.

Bridal shower

The Glass Room is a bright and joyous location for a bridal tea or lunch. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer views of the greenery of the Terrace and koi pond, with décor grounded in earthy yet light hues of red, green and gold. The Terrace offers an atrium setting, where guests may enjoy traditional English tea or evening cocktails.

Rehearsal dinner

The evening before your wedding, gather close friends and family in the Dining Room. Rich, dark wood, ornate sconces and sparkling chandeliers are complemented by warm hues for a romantic, intimate ambience, perfect for private events.

Pre-wedding preparations

In the bridal changing suite, the bride will find everything she needs – a floor-length mirror, make-up chairs and a bridal amenity kit with safety pins, hairspray, mints, perfume and other necessities. Lunch or other snacks are available on request.

Prior to the ceremony, the bride can prepare for her walk down the aisle and all that follows in the Salon, with its own private powder room. Here, she can bustle her gown, touch up her make-up and check her hair one last time.

Ceremony

The bride can make a memorable entrance into the spectacular Ballroom, the ideal venue for larger weddings. Entering via the adjacent Loge, the bride begins her walk down the aisle in dramatic style once drapes are drawn to announce her arrival. With floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the room, the Ballroom features stunning city views that showcase Chicago's city lights, while inside, the 400,000-piece French crystal chandelier sparkles with a life of its own.

Versailles offers a more intimate option for smaller weddings and can be easily coupled with dinner in the Dining Room. The room's design allows for ceremony services in the round, beneath the room's delicate and beautiful chandelier. Above, an exquisite domed ceiling with crown mouldings creates a sense of European style, while a hand-woven Irish carpet and elegant silk draperies add further notes of luxury.

Reception

Ideally situated just steps from the Ballroom, the Loge is well placed for wedding receptions. Carrying forth the Ballroom's European elegance, the Loge features teardrop chandeliers and rich hues of cream, gold and green.

The Glass Room and Terrace pair perfectly with a ceremony in Versailles. The Glass Room's floor-to-ceiling mirrored wall reflects the lush greenery of the adjacent terrace. An idyllic rock and water garden creates a romantic ambience accented by a glass atrium situated above the tropical koi pond – an intriguing focal point, whether lit by sun or stars.

The Promenade offers grandeur for larger weddings of more than 300 guests. With floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings and stunning chandeliers, the Promenade has an undeniably glamorous ambience. Ideal for larger weddings, the venue offers views of Chicago's skyline, creating a dramatic sense of place and unparalleled grandeur.

After-party

After the band has played its last song and guests begin to say their goodnights, those wishing to continue the celebration can move to Trianon. With the atmosphere of a lounge, Trianon features a built-in bar and residential furniture. It's a casual atmosphere where a DJ would feel at home, easing guests into a relaxed frame of mind.

Post-wedding brunch

The morning after the big day, guests can rejoice and give final congratulations to the new couple over brunch in the Dining Room. In the morning, sunlight filters in from the Terrace and Promenade, offering a bright and cheery ambience for celebrating together once last time.
