The faraway setting of Four Seasons Resort Carmelo, Uruguay, with its peaceful river views and 106 square metres (1,141 square feet) of versatile high-tech function space, promises a memorable event. The contemporary Nomad Lounge – with its Asian influences and local furnishings – accommodates groups of up to 50 for a reception. An adjoining outdoor veranda lends itself to al fresco coffee breaks or evening cocktails overlooking the river and the forest. Other venues that accommodate special functions include the private Gazebo on the beach, for pre-dinner drinks, and La Estancia, a nearby ranch that hosts up to 60 guests for a banquet. Themed parties can be arranged, such as a Uruguayan barbecue or sunset cocktails on the Resort’s private boat.
