La Estancia
Overview
Four Seasons Resort Carmelo offers you the opportunity to enjoy organic fruit and vegetables grown at our farm, La Estancia. Surrounded by the area's peaceful natural landscape, La Estancia is located adjacent to our polo field.
Visit the farm and enjoy chicken, duck, goose or ñandú (South American ostrich) eggs, as well as peaches, lemons, raspberries, strawberries and figs – and the natural jellies made from them. In the vegetable garden, we use only natural fertilisers to produce healthy, delicious food.
At La Estancia, you can also learn about some of the traditions of the Uruguayan countryside, such as mate, while enjoying bizcochos (sweet croissants) and the company of our friendly staff.
Special dining venue
Experience what Uruguay has to offer with a group lunch or dinner at La Estancia featuring a meal of cold cuts or a typical asado (barbecue). To enhance your group experience, polo tournaments or shows can be organised as entertainment while your group enjoys a cocktail. Advance reservations are required.
