Four-day itinerary

Four Seasons can help you customize an itinerary for your group or party. Located at the edge of the Mediterranean, Beirut boasts scenery, culture and activities for all travellers to enjoy. The following sample four-day itinerary highlights sights, venues and excursions that will immerse your group in Beirut's rich sophistication. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Day One – Unwind at Four Seasons Hotel Beirut

Morning
Start the day with breakfast at The Grill Room or in the privacy of your own terrace. Afterwards, participate in a guided city walk that starts at the Hotel, passes the chic boutiques of the corniche and continues to the Solidere area. Enjoy a beverage in Place de l'Etoile, followed by a visit to the monumental Hariri Mosque, also known as the blue mosque because of its magnificent blue dome, which can be seen from all corners of the city. Continue to Martyrs' Square and up to Saifi Village.

Afternoon
Revitalise at the Spa and choose from a menu of holistic and signature Sodashi treatments, or relax by the rooftop pool and enjoy views of the Mediterranean and the old city. Afterwards, savour a sunset cocktail at the rooftop bar or in the privacy of your room.

Evening
An inspired meal awaits at The Grill Room. Seafood and prime meats are grilled to perfection and creatively served by the talented culinary team. Alternatively, a private dinner can be arranged in one of our banquet rooms.

After dinner, explore Beirut's nightlife. Let our Concierge reserve an impossible-to-get table at one of the city's open-air rooftop nightclubs and dance the night away under the starry sky. Call us when you're ready to return to the Hotel, and we'll send a Mercedes S-Class sedan to pick you up.

Day Two – Baalbek Roman Temples and Wine Tour

Morning
A traditional Lebanese breakfast will be served on your way to Bekaa Valley. The scenic two-hour drive from Beirut will lead you to one of the world's greatest Roman treasures at the Temples of Baalbek. Towering high above Bekaa Valley, they highlight the power and wealth of the ancient Roman Empire. Then enjoy another archaeological experience at the Anjar ruins, which date back to the Umayyad Dynasty.

Afternoon and evening
Bekaa Valley is in the heart of the region's wine country, where ideal conditions produce exceptional wines. Grape varieties include Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and many others.

Enjoy a wine tasting at the famous Château Ksara Winery, including a special arak tasting. An authentic Lebanese late lunch will be served at the winery before you return to Beirut.

Day Three – Sailing to the Phoenician City of Byblos

Day
Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel followed by a walk to the marina, where a yacht will be waiting to take you to the coastal city of Byblos, a busy modern town located 36 kilometres (23 miles) north of Beirut. Extensive remains from the city's past – from Neolithic times to the Crusader era – include the ancient port and the Crusader castle and church. The Old Souk is a popular destination for souvenir shopping.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a traditional Lebanese seafood restaurant that has been passed down through four generations. After lunch, the yacht will take you back to Beirut.

Evening
Spend a night out on Gemmayzé Street, which is lined with bars, cafés and restaurants.

Day Four – Jeita Grotto, Harissa and Gala Dinner

Morning
Enjoy a traditional Lebanese breakfast of syrup-drenched cheese kunafeh in a sesame sourdough bread at one of the oldest dessert houses in the region. After breakfast, a one-hour drive takes you to the Jeita Grotto – one of the finalists in the race to be named among the new wonders of the world. The action of water has created cathedral-like vaults beneath the wooded hills of Mount Lebanon, creating a beautiful underworld millions of years in the making.

Afternoon
Travel by cable car to Harissa, a hill 650 metres (2,132 feet) above sea level, and enjoy panoramic views over the Bay of Jounieh. On this site stands a white-painted bronze statue of the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of Lebanon. Enjoy lunch at the Old Souk in the nearby village of Zouk.

Evening
End your Lebanon visit with a gala dinner on the Hotel's 26th-floor pool deck. Enjoy magnificent views of the city and the sea, and savour an imaginative menu prepared by our chefs and presented with intuitive Four Seasons service.
